The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help identifying a woman suspected of participating in a destructive flash mob Saturday night at the Walmart Supercenter on Lem Turner Road.
An estimated several hundred people rushed into the Walmart about 11:30 p.m. following a broken-up house party and began throwing produce in a large-scale disturbance that caused damage throughout the business.
A video of the flash mob was posted on YouTube.
The ongoing investigation indicates that some of the flash mob participants came from a large party on nearby Sampson Road where a shooting was reported. Gunshots also were reported outside the Walmart.
The Sheriff's Office did not specify why this person was singled out.
Anyone with information about the woman, the flash mob or shootings can contact the Sheriff's Office at (904) 630-0500, JSO
CrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org, or Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-8477 (845-TIPS).

Reading this article was a little bit scary for to me because I tend to shop at this Walmart alot, especially late hours because I usually can get in and out. But I feel this crime is a real shame that people would go and damage these people store like this, if they could put this type of time and energy towards something good then this world would be a better place. Parents and peers really do need to step up because these days kids are headed straight to the jailhouse and prison instead of heading to college. Being a single parent that works and goes to school and my hours varies on top of that makes Walmart very convient that it stays open 24hours but because dumb senseless crimes like this could cause that to change.
